We are looking for a Finance Executive – Fixed Assets to assist Finance Manager in the Capital Accounting to ensure accurate and timely processing of capital expenditure transactions, WIP reporting, and compliance with the Capital Accounting Control Framework. The individual is also required to provides analytical and operational support for capital accounting processes.
Make an Impact by:
1. Fixed Assets Operations (Pre & Month-End)
- Support monthly settlement processes by coordinating with Finance, business users, and IT
- Monitor outcomes and resolve issues in collaboration with stakeholders
- Perform periodic settlements for all entities within SAP S/4HANA
- Prepare and post journal entries for depreciation and amortisation
- Perform reconciliations between Asset Management and General Ledger
- Prepare monthly reconciliations using tools such as BlackLine or equivalent
2. Fixed Assets Management & Maintenance
- Maintain asset master data, including updates to description, quantity, and location
- Review asset disposal and change requests in the system
- Support asset creation and settlement into the fixed asset register
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of depreciation and amortisation forecasts
- Assist in fixed asset verification exercises and review of asset useful life
3. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare quarterly, half-year, and year-end reporting in a timely manner
- Support audit and compliance queries related to fixed assets
- Assist with statutory and tax reporting requirements
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained
4. Process Improvement & Transformation
- Support finance transformation initiatives focused on process simplification and automation
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and data accuracy
- Participate in system enhancements, testing (UAT), and process improvements
5. Stakeholder Management & Support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on fixed asset processes and policies
- Support finance teams by delivering timely and accurate financial information
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as required
Skills for Success
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) completed or in progress is an advantage
- 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting or related areas
- Experience in fixed assets, capital accounting, or project accounting is beneficial
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adapting to change
