The Finance Executive (RTR) is responsible for supporting Record-to-Report (RTR) activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting within the KL GBS.
This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, supports month-end close processes, and maintains compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The incumbent works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
Make an Impact by:
1. Financial Processing & General Ledger
- Record and post journal entries accurately in compliance with accounting policies
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules
- Support month-end closing activities within defined timelines
2. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Support statutory reporting requirements in line with IFRS/AASB
3. Reconciliations
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure reconciling items are cleared within agreed timelines
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards, tax requirements, and internal controls
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
- Stay updated with accounting standards and internal policies
5. Audit & Stakeholder Support
- Provide required documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
- Respond to audit queries accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information
6. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes
- Support finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives
- Contribute to automation and standardization efforts within RTR
Skills for Success
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting, RTR, or similar finance operations role
- Experience in shared services or large, complex organizations is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience with SAP (FI/GL modules) or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Knowledge of financial reporting and statutory compliance (IFRS/AASB)
- Exposure to process improvement or automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, Power BI) is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity
