We are looking for a Finance Executive- Leases to assist Finance Manager in the Lease Accounting by providing operational support for lease administration, reporting, and compliance activities across extensive lease portfolio of 14,000+ contracts. Working closely with the Finance Manager - Leases, this role ensures accurate lease data management, supports month-end close processes.
Make an Impact by:
1. Lease Data Management & Master Data Quality
- Process lease amendments, new lease setups, and terminations in line with policies
- Support data quality initiatives, including regular data review and cleansing activities
- Reconcile lease contract data across systems and ensure consistency
- Maintain proper documentation and cashflow tracking for lease contracts
- Identify and escalate data discrepancies or exceptions
2. Lease Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on lease portfolio activities (e.g., new leases, amendments, renewals, terminations)
- Support reporting on lease liabilities, right-of-use (RoU) assets, interest, and depreciation
- Assist in analysing lease portfolio trends such as ageing, expiry profiles, and cost movements
- Support variance analysis (e.g., month-on-month and year-on-year)
- Prepare ad hoc reports and provide insights to stakeholders
3. Month-End Close Support
- Prepare and review lease-related reconciliations (e.g., lease liabilities, RoU assets, lease expenses)
- Support validation of depreciation and interest calculations
- Review lease-related transactions and postings
- Investigate and resolve variances identified during month-end close
- Support preparation of month-end reports and close activities
4. Stakeholder & Query Management
- Respond to routine queries from internal stakeholders regarding lease data, payments, and processes
- Investigate and resolve payment-related queries in collaboration with relevant teams
- Support escalation handling and issue resolution
- Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders
- Document recurring issues and support process improvement initiatives
5. Process Improvement & Systems Support
- Identify and support implementation of process improvement opportunities
- Assist with testing of system enhancements (e.g., SAP REFX or similar platforms)
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system upgrades and automation initiatives
- Support documentation of processes and procedures
- Assist in embedding process improvements into daily operations
6. Compliance & Controls
- Support execution of lease-related financial controls
- Assist in maintaining and updating control documentation
- Participate in control testing and validation activities
- Support compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16)
- Identify and escalate control issues or exceptions
Skills for Success
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) completed or in progress is an advantage
- 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting or related areas
- Experience in capital accounting, fixed assets, or project accounting is beneficial
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
