The Finance Executive who will assist Finance Manager in the Capital Accounting to ensure accurate and timely processing of capital expenditure transactions, WIP reporting, and compliance with the Capital Accounting Control Framework.  The individual is also required to provide analytical and operational support for capital accounting processes. 

 

Make an Impact by

  • Manage capital accounting transactions by processing capital expenditure, validating asset capitalisation, and ensuring compliance with capital policies and internal controls
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and capital expenditure, maintaining project trackers, reviewing capital allocations, and ensuring accurate budget utilisation
  • Support month-end close activities by preparing reconciliations, resolving variances, and delivering timely capital accounting reports
  • Upload final Capex reports and distribute draft reports to stakeholders for review
  • Prepare and analyse capital spend reports, dashboards, and management insights to support business decision-making and financial governance
  • Drive continuous improvement by supporting finance transformation initiatives, enhancing capital accounting processes through automation, and developing process documentation and training materials
  • Suport Record to Report and Finance Managers with timely and accurate financial information

 

Skills for Success

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline, or a recognized professional accounting qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting idealyy in large corporate organization 
  • Experience with Capital Accounting, Fixed Assets or project accounting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across business and finance stakeholders while driving process and system improvement
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver under tight timelines and changing business needs
  • Proficiency in SAP and financial planning tools

 

Good to Have

  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and operate effectively in dynamic environments
  • Exposure to financial forecasting, variance analysis, and business performance reporting
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting systems such as SAP, BPC, or Tagetik
