As the Finance Manager, SMB Segment, you will be the key Finance Business Partner and subject matter expert supporting Singtel's Small & Medium Business (SMB) Segment.

You will lead the consolidation and analysis of financial performance across Fixed, Mobile and Channel Sales, partnering closely with business leaders to translate financial and commercial insights into actions that drive sustainable growth and profitability. Beyond financial reporting, you will provide strategic advisory, challenge business assumptions and strengthen financial governance as the SMB business continues to evolve.

 

How You will Make An Impact:

  • Lead the consolidation of SMB financial performance across Fixed, Mobile and Channel Sales, covering actuals, forecasts, budgets, revenue and costs.
  • Serve as the key Finance Business Partner and point of contact for SMB Segment financial matters, providing financial and commercial support to the SMB Head and business teams.
  • Manage monthly closing and provide business partnering support for SMB Channel Sales and SMB Fixed Services across products including domestic data, telephony, managed network services and technology solutions.
  • Review monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, analyse underlying business drivers and highlight key variances to enable timely business actions.
  • Drive quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting exercises, challenging business assumptions to develop robust yet progressive financial projections.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product and other stakeholders to align financial plans and forecasts across multiple SMB revenue streams.
  • Provide strategic and operational financial advisory on capital investments, new products and services, commercial initiatives and evolving business models.
  • Evaluate tactical and promotional offers designed to respond to competitive activity, increase customer take-up or reduce terminations.
  • Review business cases and develop financial models to assess the financial viability of Capex and commercial proposals, including ROIC and NPV analysis.
  • Calculate, analyse and review IFRS 15 adjustments and regularly monitor the associated balance sheet positions.
  • Support internal and external audits while ensuring strong financial controls, governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply commercial judgement to competitor intelligence, market developments and industry trends, translating them into actionable financial insights.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to resolve complex accounting, control, process and reporting matters arising from new products, services and business models.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of Finance processes.
  • Develop and enhance financial analysis tools and reporting using workbooks, SAP BW, Cognos and other relevant systems.

 

Skills for Success: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business partnering, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities with experience evaluating business cases, investments, ROIC and NPV.
  • Sound accounting knowledge, including experience with IFRS 15, financial controls and governance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand business drivers and translate financial performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to challenge assumptions and provide independent financial advice to business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work across Sales, Marketing, Product and multiple Finance teams.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Experience with SAP BW, Cognos, financial reporting tools and advanced Excel is advantageous.
  • Strong process management capabilities with experience driving process improvements and implementing new ways of working.
  • Independent, proactive and comfortable making sound decisions in a dynamic business environment.
