As a Finance Manager (Project Finance), you will be reporting to the Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director in providing direct support to the Strategic Business Group (SBG), Client Servicing Unit (CSU) and Service Organisation (LOB) Heads, Delivery Leads and Center Managers relating to project financials analysis (including project budgets, forecasts, billings, and project Budget revision requirements).

 

What will you do?

 

Managing Finance Month-End Closing:

  • Prepare month end closing activities for Project System, review project financials, investigate variances/exceptions and ensure revenue and cost are recognized correctly.
  • Ensure month end closing related reports are prepared timely so that the timeline of the various activities given by the Group can be met.
  • Assist Senior Finance Manager/Associate Director to prepare monthly/quarterly management report.

 

Business Partnering /Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze project financials & ensure compliance to Accounting Standard FRS115. Provide financial insights and advisory, identify projects with potential risk & help business to make informed decisions.
  • Perform project finance specialist role by supporting margin erosion project to ensure revenue and cost forecast for the project is reasonably accurate and able to call out risk areas/findings during the review meeting with Watchlist/Review Council Chairperson.
  • Support business units (eg. CSU) and delivery teams (LOB) in their operations by providing advice on project delivery governance related processes, usage of project system, accounting treatment and project monitoring reports.
  • Perform analysis on unbilled revenue aging to ensure timeliness in project billings to customers and improve cash flow position of the Group. Able to work independently by follow up with respective stakeholders to ensure aged unbilled revenue issue is resolved.

 

Other Responsibilities and Audit Compliance:

  • Handle internal and external auditors’ queries and documentation related to projects.
  • Prepare adhoc management report.
  • Any other activities as assigned by reporting officer from time to time.

 

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience working in an IT MNC environment and/or has working experience under shared service environment has an added advantage
  • Bachelor’s Accountancy or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of Finance operations or analysis and familiar with project/contract financial management (eg. Project Budget tracking, understand concept of % of completion)
  • Good working knowledge of SAP software/ dashboard/ analytical tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Pivot Table analysis, Excel-Macro, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Organized, detailed, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Independent and strong team player with ability to build rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate well (both written and verbal)
