As Finance Manager reporting to Global Business Servicers (GBS) KL Site Lead, you will partner closely with GBS leadership to advance financial stewardship and elevate performance measurement of the shared services center. As the GBS Finance Business Partner, your focus is to develop GBS-specific financial visibility, including preparation of management accounts, budgeting and performance tracking, to support informed operational and strategic decisions.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Prepare GBS unit management accounts to provide a clear view of the unit’s operational and financial performance.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic review cycles for all service delivery towers within GBS. 
  • Lead business planning, forecast governance, and scenario analysis to ensure alignment between commercial targets, operational execution, and financial commitments.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis against budget, identify key drivers and provide actionable commentary.
  • Maintain performance tracking frameworks to monitor GBS cost efficiency and productivity trends.
  • Track performance of GBS transformation initiatives against approved investment cases.
  • Prepare executive dashboards for monthly business reviews.

 

Service Level Tracking

  • Maintain service pricing model, ensure methodology is well-documented and communicated to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive performance monitoring, management reviews, KPI tracking, and accountability across products, sales channels, and business segments to identify risks and recovery actions.
  • Participate in service level reviews with internal stakeholders, providing financial analysis to support cost and performance review.
  • Oversee executive reporting, management dashboards, KPI reporting, and structured review cadence to provide timely, accurate, and actionable business performance visibility.

 

Support Strategic Decision-Making

  • Conduct business analysis, commercial diagnostics, and performance modelling to generate actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as business partner to GBS leadership, providing financial analysis, scenario modelling and investment case support to inform key decisions.

 

Governance & Reporting

  • Facilitate periodic (bi-monthly/ quarterly) service quality review meetings, dashboards, and performance reporting with Optus management covering incident tickets/resolution, fault trends, performance reports, service or support improvements, service quality, and service delivery processes
  • Provide insights and drive corrective actions

 

Adhoc/ Special Projects

  • Provide support for ad hoc tasks, projects, and operational activities as assigned, ensuring timely and effective completion.

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, or shared services environments
  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering with business stakeholders across functions and levels will be an advantage
  • Experience in a shared services or multinational environment is an advantage
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to provide support to senior management
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of operational drivers and business performance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/ Oracle) and other budgeting and planning tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
