The Finance Reporting Executive is responsible for supporting the Finance Reporting team in delivering accurate and timely monthly financial close and statutory reporting. The role involves assisting in the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting activities. It also includes ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with accounting standards, including IFRS. The executive supports statutory and external reporting processes by preparing reconciliation schedules, maintaining supporting documentation, and assisting in audit requirements.
Make an Impact by
- Delivering accurate and timely monthly financial close, including preparation and posting of journal entries in line with the month-end close calendar and ERP system requirements
- Preparing financial and operational reports to support business monitoring, tracking, and decision-making
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and following up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution and accurate reporting
- Supporting statutory reporting and audit processes (interim and year-end), including reconciliations, schedules, documentation, and audit queries
- Maintaining SOPs and process documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with current practices
- Supporting process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and contributing to system or workflow enhancements
- Supporting compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements for assigned entities
- Performing other duties as assigned to support business needs
Skills for Success
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with progress toward or completion of a professional qualification (ACCA, CA(M), CPA Australia, or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in financial accounting or reporting, preferably in a corporate or shared services environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and exposure to statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); SAP or similar ERP experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail in reconciliation and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive and improvement-focused mindset
Good to Have
- Experience in a corporate, telecommunications, or shared services finance environment
- Exposure to financial systems, ERP tools, or data management
- Knowledge of internal controls, risk management, or compliance standards
- Experience in process improvement or automation initiatives
