Head of Cards and Unsecured Lending (Digital Bank)

Get to know the Role:
•    Develop and/or update Digital Banking strategies on a periodic cadence, including identifying and prioritising major cross-functional initiatives by synthesizing:
o    Internal business performance and competencies.
o    External trends (market, customer, competitor, regulatory, technological etc.).
•    Provide inputs and advise the management team on key issues (e.g. strategic initiatives, business unit level plans, and major investments) based on clear issue framing, systems-level thinking and rigorous analyses.
•    Responsible for the business P&L.
•    Identify talent and build the best team.
•    Bridge business opportunities with product development via a keen grasp of the business imperatives and clear understanding of the possibilities and / or limitations of technology and regulatory framework.
•    Align company organisational structure to achieve strategic objectives including identification of internal capabilities to be developed or strengthened.
•    Execute the strategic planning rhythm to ensure follow-through of the functional deliverables via discussions, updates and action-tracking.
•    Communicate the Digital Bank’s vision to stakeholders and support translation into operational reality via various channels.
•    Influence a high-performance company culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration.
•    Build strategy to loans book growth.
•    Drive acquisition, activation and usage, retention, cross sell and up-sell.
•    Work with risk in defining risk parameters and NCL targets.
•    Work with operations/tech on end to end delivery of service.
•    Work with service to ensure best in class service delivery.
•    Responsible to drive NPS/customer satisfaction.
•    Ensure all products fulfil all regulatory requirements.
•    Talent - ability to hire and retain best talent available in the market.
•    Define system specifications and participate in UAT testing for new and enhanced products.
•    Drive digitalization initiatives to automate processes as part of the overall wealth capability roadmap.
•    Work closely with the various Products team, Sales & Distribution to explore new financing initiatives on product launches.
•    Perform periodic review, update and implementation of compliance control in accordance to Bank's standards.
•    Keep abreast with market updates to ensure product relevancy.
 

The must haves:
•    A degree with good honours from a top tier university in any discipline.
•    Min 18 years of banking experience in the areas of credit, frontline with good knowledge of retail wealth products & financing.
•    Sound knowledge on Bank's lending requirements, credit documentation & processes, credit monitoring rigor and system-related requirements regarding loans, collateral management and custodian. 
•    Ability to construct and deliver clear presentations to senior company executives.
•    Well-developed communication skills to interact with broad ranges of audiences.
•    Ability to look beyond individual issues to identify broader themes with wider-reaching impact.
•    Experience in analysing and quantifying complex strategic issues tied to long term business growth.
•    Superb presentation and communication skills.
•    Experience in project managing complex, cross-functional projects.
•    Creativity and comfortable with ‘blank sheet of paper’ assignments.
•    A natural leader who displays integrity, humility and responsibility, with excellent interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to empathise and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels of experience.
•    A self-starter and independent learner who takes the initiative to challenge the status quo. 
•    A big-picture thinker who is detail-oriented.
•    Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively network within the industry and the overall business.
