IT Automation Test Engineer - #catalystWSP

Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Applied Computing. This programme is open to Singtel’s internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are encouraged to apply as well. In line with building capability in Singapore ICT sector this program will develop & groom talent over a 3-year period completing micro-credentials for each module which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Applied Computing. In this role, your job will be to support operations support systems (OSS). You will be involved in testing, as well as support and maintenance of the systems, to ensure that systems meet user’s functional and system requirement.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform testing of software application and automation scripts. Update test plan.
• Develop automation scripts for the testing, deployment and release of software code and packages.
• Respond to system issues, update incident tickets and escalate issues to next level of support
• Provide prompt feedback to customer or end users
• Troubleshoot and debug software and IT infrastructure issues
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve production issue
• Document technical knowledge

Requirements

Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

3 year or less work experience

Knowledge in at least one programming languages such as Java, Python or C#

Knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals

Knowledge in Linux or Windows operating system
