Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in assessing and evaluating current virtual computing infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Assist in drafting documentation, performing root cause analysis, and recommending possible solutions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and drafting runbook/ work instructions for routine tasks.
  • Assist in internal and external security audits, vulnerability assessments and tracking vulnerabilities until closure.
  • Adhere to existing governance policies and processes to ensure non-compliance incidents are minimized. 
  • Assist in reviewing recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
  • Recommend implementation of automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Review infrastructure patch updates, ensuring systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Manage and track outstanding issues for resolution and closure with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage records retention, document filing and housekeeping for the Systems Process.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the dept.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma holder, preferably in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Preferably with some working experience and knowledge in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with government security requirements will be an advantage.
  • Strong customer experience mindset, listening, understanding and responding to customer needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Possess a positive and agile working attitude.
  • Meticulous in tracking, tactful and willing to learn.
  • Multi-tasking, able to work under pressure.
  • Team player with good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
