What You’ll Do 

Working within the Optus’  Data Foundation and Transformation Team as well as multiple senior internal stakeholders across Optus, you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities, aligned to Optus’ data transformation agenda.  
  • Own and drive the migration, including impact analysis, delivery oversight, and stakeholder enablement.  
  • Act as Product Owner for platforms — managing the backlog, defining epics and user stories, and prioritising delivery based on business value. 
  • Design and implement scalable, governed MDM solutions covering customer, address, and reference data across the enterprise.  
  • Partner with business, data, engineering, and architecture teams to capture requirements, define use cases, and ensure platform performance, quality, and security.  
  • Drive adoption and change management, including training, onboarding, governance standards, and communication across diverse business units.  
  • Integrate AI-enabled capabilities (e.g. natural language queries, automated insights) to enhance usability and decision-making.
  • Define and track KPIs for adoption, data quality, performance, and cost efficiency, ensuring value delivery and continuous improvement. 

 
 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), including customer, address, and reference data domains  
  • Strong technical and architectural capability, with experience in enterprise data platforms and semantic modelling  
  • Proven product ownership mindset, driving roadmaps, backlogs, prioritisation, and value delivery  
  • Handson experience leading platform migrations (e.g. Informatica to Atacama) with minimal business disruption  
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and drive adoption across technical and nontechnical stakeholders  
  •  Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach in fastpaced environments  
  •   A collaborative, proactive, and continuous improvement mindset aligned with enterprise transformation goals
