People management functions includes the responsibilities of goal setting, team development, monitoring, coaching/mentoring, recruitment, and ensuring communication fluid from management to each individual in the team.

Lead Infrastructure Engineer is also responsible in supporting practice lead to develop strategic plan for the team. The strategic plan may include improving products, services and processes which will result financial improvement to the organization.
 

Responsibilities

  • Showing leadership in solving team and project issues.
  • Providing creative measure to facilitate conducive working environment to the team.

  • Engage the team members effectively with personal coaching, providing guidance as well as ability to stretch the personnel performance.

  • Collaborate with GRM to manage resources in the practice and deploy them to the right projects and achieve the practice billability target

  • Supporting Practice Lead to prepare, update and maintain job description, assessment standard questionnaires for pre-qualifying exams and technical interviews, conducting of technical interviews, and appraisals 

  • Leading the team to achieve operational excellence and individual KPI

  • Participate and contribute in the staff performance appraisal together with their project RO, if applicable

  • Provide innovative idea and/or plan  in implementing operation and service excellence in the respective area.

  • Ensure on-boarding program for new hire is completed within one month from the date joined

  • Handle escalation from project for SME support

  • Assist in post-mortem meeting for projects that are escalated to higher management, when needed

  • Plan resource together with GRM for the forecast deals and existing resource assignment based on the current capacity and capability of the team

  • Part of the SWAT team to conduct Operations Analysis for identified projects to improve operations

  • Practice strategic thinking in any problem resolution arise.

  • Awareness Building - Prepare, plan and monitor communication session between practice, project and client tribes.

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Degree or Equivalent
  • 10-15 Years in IT Management or Project Management
  • Networking Technology
  • Good at Presentation
  • Strong Project Leadership
  • Network Certified – CCIE will be ideal
