To support this journey, we are searching for top talent and have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to strengthen our team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for bringing consistency and knowledge to all application development teams building Apps.  Apps are any user facing application such as Mobile Applications, Web Sites, or Desktop Applications. 
  • Technical ownership of the product architectures and design in the Digital Technology space at Singtel.
  • Design the application support libraries for portals (web sites), mobile applications, and native applications, from an architecture, functional and a non-functional point of view.
  • Be part of a multi-national team across Optus and Singtel and other parties, working with people in multiple time zones and with differing cultural backgrounds.
  • Work with Architects, Solution designers by bringing application architecture and design principles to the teams to drive consistency.
  • Work with product people, content producers, UX designers and business analysts to understand and flesh out requirements to implementation.
  • Work with all teams, testers to ensure that all front-end Apps solutions are of high quality and meet all established guidelines by setting appropriate KPI’s and OKR’s.
  • Managing agency development capabilities
  • Setting strategic Front-End Framework Architecture
  • Developing Front-End Practice with team members across application development teams
  • Establish and Maintain a Front-End Architecture Framework and Documentation Library and Developer Guide
  • Mentoring junior Front-End developers


Experience / Knowledge Required

  • 7 years of development experience
  • Development experience in JS, CSS, HTML5, Responsive Site, Reactive Design, Sass, Frontend Templating,
  • Experience in Agile, Test driven development / Unit Testing and Behavior Driven Development
  • Experience in software and application development that requires analysis and design work.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Wiki applications.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Agile Development and Management tools, e.g. Jira, Artifactory, Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium
  • Good in Application design principles and architecture
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead a team or liaise with vendors in managing projects delivery
  • Good interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • NodeJS, Cucumber, Angular, Backbone, Object Oriented Design experience is preferred
