The Legal Contract Manager plays a strategic role in supporting Singtel’s Corporate Functions by providing end-to-end legal support across commercial contracting activities. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with domestic and global suppliers and partners, while working closely with Singapore-based stakeholders. You will act as a trusted legal advisor, providing pragmatic and commercially sound solutions, managing legal risks, and supporting business objectives in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

- Draft and negotiate contracts – Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of procurement, partnership, and commercial agreements
- Provide strategic legal advice – Offer practical, risk-based legal guidance on contractual, commercial, and operational matters
- Partner with stakeholders – Work closely with business units, Corporate Functions, and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Manage legal risk – Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks in line with Singtel Group policies
- Support global operations – Provide remote legal support to Singapore-based teams and collaborate with Group Legal
- Maintain documentation – Ensure proper documentation, contract governance, and retention of organisational knowledge
- Drive consistency – Apply standard processes, policies, and best practices across contract management activities
- Resolve complex issues – Take the lead in addressing legal and commercial challenges with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Build strong relationships – Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across geographies
Skills for Success
- Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia, Singapore, or the UK
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm or in-house in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry
- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Solid understanding of corporate, commercial, and contract law
- Experience handling cross-border or international contracting matters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively
- Strong business acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
