As the Legal Counsel, you will provide support to NCS Group of companies, including overseas subsidiaries and associate companies in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and other countries in Asia Pacific.



  • Manage the Corporate Secretariat function
  • Comply with regulatory requirements under the Companies Act
  • Maintain the corporate secretariat records
  • Partner the Mergers & Acquisitions team in the sale and purchase process.
  • Review, advise on and negotiate corporate and commercial transaction agreements
  • Advising the legal team and conducting training on the Companies Act and related laws and regulation including the preparation of training materials.
  • Participate in the legal department’s knowledge management activities  
  • Support periodic audit exercise on NCS and the legal department. 
  • Other duties – reviewing policies and processes of the legal function, collating and analysing data, preparing reports and policy papers for the general improvement of the legal function and processes.
  • All necessary reporting and liaison with listed parent company, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd for the above responsibilities. 
  • Any other function as assigned from time to time.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A good bachelor’s degree in law from Singapore or UK.
  • Called to the Bar.
  • Minimally 4-6 years PQE in private and in-house practice with experience in reviewing corporate commercial agreements (share purchase agreement, shareholders’ agreement, joint-venture agreements, NDAs, MOUs, business collaboration agreements), company secretariat work.
  • Possess strong linguistic ability and good people management skills.
  • Strong work ethic, able to work in a focused manner and within tight timelines.
