Organisational Capability, Business Partner 

As Optus continues to push “beyond telco”, our focus on Organisational Capability has sharpened.  We are seeking a dynamic and resilient Organisational Capability Manager to take Optus to the next level. You will have a chance to collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business on projects to identify and deliver on key capability development.

 As an Organisational Capability Manager at Optus, you will:

  • Be working with Business Leaders and HRD’s / HRM’s to understand business challenges, SWP, business opportunities and AOP and the impact of these on people capabilities
  • Partner with HRDs to build annual BU capability plans
  • Consult on emerging Org wide or BU specific capability needs
  • Drive OC’s Digital Learning strategy in meeting capability development needs of complex and large-scale business units

About you

You are a self-starter with a curious mind and collaborative attitude – unconventional backgrounds welcome

Other preferred skills and experience include:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and background within L&D / OD / HR
  • Capability development project management experience in a large organisation
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of cost effective best practices in capability/L&D development – 70/20/10, learning technologies, etc.
  • Great communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams
  • Have intense curiosity - a desire to go beneath the surface of a problem, find the questions at its heart and distil them into a very clear set of hypotheses that can be tested
  • Keep abreast of analytics and modelling techniques in the industry
