Procurement Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager will drive tangible business benefits by providing risk identification and analysis, drafting, negotiation and contract maintenance services to Indirects Procurement team and the business on tenders and other Procurement activities.

The Contracts Manager’s primary objectives are to:

  • Work as a key enabler to assist Optus in the completion of high quality commercial and contractual documents for procurement activities;
  • Ensure that the commercial integrity of Optus contracts reflect the SingTel Group requirements;
  • Train and coach to a high standard of understanding Optus business users in procurement practices and skills
  • Execute specific activities in the Contracts Management cycle related to contract creation, storage and maintenance for transactions of simple to medium complexity.
  • Work in a highly efficient manner using the existing procurement processes

About you

You are a self-starter with a curious mind and collaborative attitude – preferred skills and experience include:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in relevant contracts management role within a complex procurement environment (proven understanding of concepts, processes within a regulated telecommunications’ industry)
  • Legal experience highly advantageous (Paralegal, legal admin etc)
  • Experience drafting, negotiating and contract governance skills – with drafting technical statement of work, ACCC experience etc)
  • Working closely across different functions and levels to ensure deadlines are met
  • Great communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams
  • Have intense curiosity - a desire to go beneath the surface of a problem, find the questions at its heart and distil them into a very clear set of hypotheses that can be tested
