Advertising Tech Operations Manager

The Digital Advertising Tech Operations Manager will be responsible for the optimal setup and advanced operations of Optus Sport & Fitness advertising ecosystem.

 

This role embodies the core interface between the technology (video delivery) and the ad operations teams and is intended as both the replacement of and an upgrade to the exiting role of Digital Advertising Tech Operations Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all technical aspects of digital advertising are running smoothly across video platforms by working with SSAI technology, web debugging tools, 3rd party tracking vendors, programmatic SSP’s and ad serving software
  • Create and troubleshoot video ad tags and monitor the overall advertising ecosystem across Desktop, Mobile, CTV, set top boxes etc.
  • Technical support for digital advertising implementation: assist with any issues relating to scheduling creative and campaign delivery, campaign maintenance, dealing with 3rd parties, rich media and video pre-roll implementation, forecasting, reporting and inventory management
  • Develop and maintain operational best practices and keep up to date with new ad tech functionality by understanding the potential opportunities presented by specific tech developments
  • Provide premium service to customers and internal counterparts in relation to delivery of advertising, revenue enablement and issue management. Create efficiencies where possible through workflow analysis
  • Digital advertising terms, processes and understanding of the digital media landscape

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within third-party ad technologies and tools: Google suite of advertising software, Programmatic SSP’s, DMP’s, HTML/5, Flash and any testing tools.
  • Experience with video ads: VAST, VPAID, Open Measurement SDK (OMSDK), SSAI etc.
  • Highly proficient at Excel, degree qualified in an IT or numeric discipline preferred
  • Focused on business outcomes and ROI.
  • Keenness to develop relationships within the Optus Sport team, partners and with advertisers. Team player who can support and work with other departments within the business and bring their technical ad operations expertise to Optus!
  • Ability to analyse data and interpret findings for commercial purposes and technical references
  • Technically minded, problem solver and fast learner. Genuine passion for digital advertising with a thirst to learn and improve.
