This role is critical in supporting an exciting new business in cutting edge technologies and exceptional customer experiences to Australian homes and businesses. The Digital Producer will be working across the core Smart Spaces product and Digital teams. This role will support the Optus Smart Spaces business which is a new strategic business unit responsible for Optus’ successful entry and leadership into the Smart Home and Business market. With the industry growing significantly in the next couple of years, the Optus Smart Spaces team will be responsible for helping customers with what devices to buy, which devices work together, how to install the devices and who to call for support. This will be achieved through our new digital online marketplace selling curated collections for our customers and our O-Team service  proposition to help solve customer needs and make smart technology work for them. This fast paced and exciting new team will be instrumental in continuing to deliver on our vision to make Optus Australia’s most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationship.

 

About The Role

This position is responsible for maintaining the end-to-end CMS production and delivery of Smart Spaces . Working in Agile Squads as subject matter expert for Digital production, you are accountable for delivering hands on content changes via CMS - Content Management Systems and collaborating with UX, design, content, development and testing resources (internal and external) to ensure quality delivery of all changes into production. The Producer will also ensuring all business stakeholders are engaged correctly, seek relevant approvals and document accordingly and ensure a high level of customer experience and usability on all Optus Digital properties they work on.

 

Major areas of Responsibility include:   

Content Management - Content updates within CMS include using existing templates and modules, editing HTML, database updates, static file management, publishing activities; Collaboration with cross functional Agile teams including liaising with UX, Designers, Developers & Testers, Client service management – work to build relationships with key stakeholders including approvals and sign off and documentation; Initial investigation into project and BAU solutions for both customer facing and CMS development; Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding requirements and deliverables including defect management and Ensure all briefs and designs comply with legal and brand requirements and Projects and BAU are launched on time and within budget.

 

Digital Best Practice / Quality Assurance - New projects are created to W3C web standards; EO and accessibility; Regular content updates are delivered on time and without errors;  Where feasible, proofread / subedit content updates for grammatical, contextual and typographical error; In case of feed error or non-delivery, troubleshoot source of problem (incorrect feed format, wrong delivery time, missing content), escalate and follow through till resolution        

 

Administration - All workflow changes are entered into JIRA and timesheets to be entered into Clarity on a weekly basis; All approval documentation is archived and stored appropriately (eg. Jira); Contribute to and maintain team Wiki; Prepare documentation for new processes, products and features and Documented PIR with list of learnings for similar run projects

 

About You

We are looking for the following skills, attributes and experience

  • Understanding of Customer Centric design approach
  • Appreciation for good customer experience, layout and text composition        
  • A detailed understanding of Digital technology        
  • Strong hands on CMS experience (Vignette and AEM highly regarded).
  • In depth knowledge of the end to end production, delivery and release management process including working in dev, test and prod environments.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills; Intermediate JS skills – able to edit existing JS; W3C standards  
  • Knowledge/understanding of mark-up languages  and digital design and UX principles
