Job Title: Enterprise Information Management Data Control Manager

Location: Macquarie Park


Job Summary


This position enables EIM of group IT to achieve the following objectives:


  • Work with known consumers to define data quality requirements/expectations, and maintain quality of data for their respective data domain
  • Resolve data issues, conflicts, and inconsistencies within their authority and coordinate with their management level representatives
  • Participate to varying degrees in projects that create or leverage data from their domain


Key Responsibilities


  • Understand the data at source and how it is created. Identify issues that might impact data quality and collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate ingestion of data.
  • Understand the MDM processes and set up (manage ongoing) rules for match and merge, survival ship of values in a cluster and calculated values, for creating the Golden Customer Record (GCR).
  • Understand the impact of new sources on existing ecosystem and collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to maintain the health of the ecosystem while leveraging data quality from the new source.
  • Understand downstream system data requirements and engage the relevant stakeholders to deliver accurate information in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve data quality and GCR quality issues raised by downstream systems.
  • Perform periodic data quality and GCR quality checks and resolve issues to exceed ISO 8000 standards and business expectations


Experience and Qualifications


  • 15+yrs experience working with data, preferably customer data.
  • 10+yrs experience in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence.
  • 5+yrs experience building end to end solutions for business that are compliant with Privacy and Data Governance policies and regulations.
  • 2+yrs experience in Informatica tools and Data Governance principles.
  • 2+yrs experience in Master Data management and successful creation of Golden Records (preferably Customer Data).
  • 2+yrs experience as a team leader with the ability to mentor and direct a team in meeting individual and team KPIs in delivering effective solutions/support to business.
  • Strong technical knowledge of data integration, metadata and BI analytics tools.
  • Participation in Data Quality/Governance initiatives.
