Your team

The Leadership, Capability and Experience (LCE) team is focused on making Optus the right place for the best people to do their best work. That means we are always on the lookout for talent, we focus on expanding development opportunities to grow capability and skills, we link our employee experience and culture to business performance, and we drive a culture that is safe, respectful and inclusive.

Your role:

The Senior Facilitator role is critical to the implementation of programs that will support Optus culture. Specifically, these new initiatives will develop mindsets, build skills and embed behaviours for the future of Optus.

The programs are focused on:

  • Inclusion. A program that will advance a safe, inclusive and respectful Optus culture. It is positively-framed, conversational and highly engaging in style using a combination of virtual reality (VR) scenarios, workshop activities and self-reflection.
  • Leadership. A program for Optus leaders at all levels setting new expectations and practices for how they energise and empower their people to create lasting value for our customers, our business, and for each other.

Inportantly, you will be partnering with other facilitators (or vendor personnel) to deliver learning programs throughout the organisation. This will involve going deep into challenging content, and moderating sophisticated and courageous conversations between Optus people at all levels and across all business units. In addition to face-to-face delivery, you will be facilitating some programs through blended, multi-modal and digital technologies. These technologies include virtual classrooms (via MS Teams), and VR.

Key duties:

  • Provide expert facilitation of pre-written content on Inclusion and Leadership.
  • Collaborate and work alongside the project teams/working groups on the implementation, and measurement of learning outcomes to meet the agreed standards for these initiatives.
  • Leverage your experience of future-ready learning initiatives with innovative technology solutions.

Key ingredients for success:

  • Qualification/s in OD, Education, Adult Learning, HR, Org psych or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated long-term experience in facilitating sophisticated Leadership and/or Inclusion content in corporate environments and at various levels.
  • Qualifications and experience in coaching and senior leadership development would be highly regarded.
  • Awareness of emerging leadership and D&I trends and best practice to both inform and uplift program impact and learner capability.
  • Experience in largescale learning initiatives with multiple stakeholders and success criteria.
  • Experience in instructional design, PowerPoint and Excel, and learning management system (LMS) technologies.
  • Willingness to travel interstate for up to one week per quarter throughout the year.
