Your role

 

As Payroll Consultant, you will be responsible for executing outcomes and driving results while performing their role with minimal supervision.  You will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will provide guidance to other team members in tasks and projects, whilst taking ownership of objective setting and overall performance management.  Additionally, you will assume a lead role in the group in the absence of senior level managers, responding to any emergency situations that may arise in relation to the payment and confidentially of employees.

 

You will also be responsible for -

 

  • Processing related data and resolving disputes for employee salary payments as per their designated queue responsibility;
  • Accepting/auditing master data updates in the HRCentral which workflow to SAP Payroll system;
  • Demonstrating a working knowledge of Australian legislation in relation to withholding taxation, payroll tax, superannuation and leave entitlements; &
  • Understanding & educating stakholders on all EPA’s for all employing entities.

 

What makes you essential for the role?

 

  • 5+ years Australian Payroll experience in a high-volume corporate environment;
  • Advanced reconciliations, analytical, & problem-solving ability, underpinned by an unwavering commitment to customer service and fixing issues;        
  • Strong MS Office (i.e. Excel & Word), plus strong SAP Payroll & Preceda experience;
  • Business related qualifications (advantageous), with highly influential people & stakeholder management skills & experience;
  • Versatile in adapting to change and show aptitude for employing contingency measures to meet deadlines;
  • High level interpersonal, time management & organisational skills; &          
  • Ability to engage people to arrive at successful outcomes and results.
