About the role:

 

The Product Management department is responsible for managing all Optus Branded products across Postpaid, Connected Devices and Home portfolios for the Consumer and Soho/Micro customer segments

 

The Product Manager, Home is a critical role in the Product Management team with end-to-end responsibility for managing the Fixed broadband and Wireless broadband products.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Defining the product proposition and build consistent Why Optus story for Fixed and Wireless Broadband
  • Developing effective marketing plans and strategies including product pricing, positioning and, promotional offers to respond to long and short-term market needs
  • Addressing and defining clear target audience needs in order to develop propositions that will achieve AOP objectives, differentiate Optus vs competitors and deliver relevant products to the market
  • Understanding and determining customer needs, including market trends and developments, customer research and contact centre feedback
  • Managing the product P&L down to gross margin
  • Ensuring profit or market share maximisation appropriate to product categories
  • Understanding and track competitor activities specific to product categories
  • Enabling customer facing staff with specialist product training and support through Channel Enablement
  • Collaborating with others to develop and market strategic bundled solutionsEnsuring that the product plans comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements

 

Experience required:

 

  • Post Graduate Qualifications
  • Strong professional experience in product management
  • Prior experience in consumer telecommunications
  • Strong product management skills from concept to execution
  • Customer segmentation and insights experience
  • Budget management and commercial acumen
  • Business performance management and analytical skillset
  • Ability to influence senior management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline
