Reporting to the Director of Product Strategy, Operations and Planning, your role is crucial to defining and achieving our strategic ambitions.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to –

 

  • Leading development & delivery of the Optus for Business Product Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for senior management approval
  • Proactively monitoring and helping to manage the achievement of the plan in full;
  • Working with product SME’s to create impactful strategic plans for product initiatives; 
  • Leading cross-product portfolio strategic initiatives (e.g., modularity); 
  • Driving development & delivery of Product vision, the 3-year strategy and roadmap;
  • Supporting Operations requirements for the Products group; & 
  • Supporting engagement across key Product groups (Mobile, Fixed and Services), stakeholder groups (IT, Finance, Channels, Marketing) and segments (Consumer and Enterprise) to drive collaboration and tight alignment.

 

 What makes you perfect for the role?

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Business discipline with post-grad studies (e.g., Masters, MBA) desirable;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a similar Telco Product role with a strategic lens;
  • A background in management consulting would be advantageous;
  • You are good at listening and interpreting information as well as gathering data and insights to conduct strategic analysis and provide recommendations
  • Able to lead and develop strategic plans and programs in a large enterprise setting;
  • Ability to lead virtual teams, self-driven, collaborative, outcome oriented & customer focused;            
  • Telecommunications experience and knowledge of technology and telco products/trends is highly desirabl; 
  • Advanced commercial acumen (develop robust financial business cases);
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship management ability, ability to build rapport, you are well organised with good time management and planning skills; &
  • Passion, tenacity, ownership and accountability.

  • Gain significant experience in product strategy in the small to medium business space across a range of products and technologies; 
  • Work with an authentic and experienced leadership team, with visibility of senior leadership; &
