The Associate Director - NBN Portfolio Growth and Transformation role, reporting to the Director of Fixed Internet - Home, is a senior position and a critical leader in the wider Optus Home team. As the Home Product lead for NBN base growth & transformation, this role has specific product ownership of the strategy and leadership of NBN portfolio base growth & transformation. This includes identifying strategies to drive margin growth, retention, and base simplification, as well as building and maintaining delivery plans and driving execution of agreed plans in collaboration with relevant peers and stakeholders.

The day to day

  • Lead the creation of annual and 3-year base transformation & growth strategy.
  • Develop and maintain effective annual NBN base value growth roadmap.
  • Lead base planning for AOP/re-forecasting in conjunction with our Customer Engagement team.
  • Source and analyse data to quantify problems and opportunities.
  • Create execution of plans in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of the NBN customer base and market.
  • Lead development and implementation of effective reporting to track progress of base activities.
  • Engage and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Expert experience in product/marketing/business/consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business outcomes in large retail customer portfolios.
  • Experience in leading transformation involving a large customer base a complex, constantly changing, and performance-oriented environment.
  • Experience with analysing large, plan or cohort separated customer bases
  • Experience delivering portfolio and customer base migration or transformation activities in a matrixed organisation.
  • A natural navigating the team in a fast-moving technology landscape.
  • Strong understanding of product commercials, revenue, and cost elements.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to use data to persuade and drive decisions.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills.
