We are seeking a high-performing Account Manager to drive new business growth for Optus Enterprise across the South Australian market.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of medium to large organisations within the SA Telco/ ICT sector, building strong relationships and delivering tailored, complex technology solutions. You will collaborate with a broad virtual team to engage senior stakeholders across enterprise and local councils, developing strategic account plans and identifying opportunities to expand customer value.

Success in this role will be driven by your ability to win new business, grow revenue and profitability, and increase customer share of wallet, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional with strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills to make a significant impact.

 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business growth by achieving orders, revenue and product sales targets across a defined SA Telco/ ICT territory
  • Maintain high levels of sales activity to build and manage a strong, sustainable opportunity pipeline
  • Develop and execute strategic territory, account and opportunity plans to maximise customer value and market share
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across enterprise and government customers
  • Collaborate with internal Optus teams to deliver seamless solutions, ensuring successful implementation and high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting, and documentation while ensuring timely communication and effective stakeholder alignment

 

What You Bring

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B sales within the corporate and/or government sector, with tertiary qualifications desirable
  • Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to sell complex technical solutions and develop compelling business cases
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (CIO, CFO, CEO level)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, supported by outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with strong planning, self-management and administrative capabilities, including experience developing account and opportunity plans
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with strong analytical capability and understanding of (or interest in) the Telco/ ICT market
