The Associate Director – Network Delivery & Engagement leads strategic transformation initiatives to improve network build operations, working closely with the Director of Construction Transformation. The role focuses on driving capital and operational efficiencies, enhancing vendor and commercial performance, and simplifying delivery models to support scalable, effective network deployment. It requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders and manage complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.

This role is open to candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.

 

Your day to day will consist of

  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives across Access construction and network delivery operations to improve cost, quality, speed, and delivery outcomes.
  • Identify and deliver Capex and Opex efficiency opportunities through process optimisation, operating model improvements, automation, and commercial initiatives.
  • Partner with Construction, Engineering, Delivery, Finance, Procurement, and Network teams to drive end-to-end transformation outcomes.
  • Support the development and execution of the Construction Transformation roadmap aligned to broader Networks strategy and operational priorities.
  • Lead large-scale workstreams and programs focused on delivery simplification, vendor performance, governance uplift, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level reporting, business cases, transformation updates, and performance insights.
  • Drive accountability and governance across strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery milestones, financial outcomes, and risk obligations are achieved.
  • Manage and influence senior vendor relationships to improve commercial outcomes, delivery performance, and operational alignment.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and insights to senior leadership on construction delivery performance, risks, opportunities, and transformation priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen execution capability, standardisation, and operational maturity across the Access delivery environment.

 

What makes you perfect for the role

  • Significant experience in transformation, strategy, commercial management, or large-scale delivery programs within telecommunications, infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience delivering operational and financial efficiency outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead complex transformation initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups and operational environments.
  • Experience managing senior vendor and partner relationships, including commercial and performance governance.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications network delivery, construction operations, or infrastructure deployment environments.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across technical, operational, and corporate functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capability.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, executive reporting, and transformation roadmaps.
