The Associate Director for End User Technology is responsible for overseeing and improving the technology infrastructure that supports a productive and efficient work environment. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and management of workplace technologies, ensuring that they align with organisational goals and foster collaboration, innovation, and colleague happiness.
 

The Associate Director will work closely with the business to prepare recommendations for a range of senior stakeholders and key decision makers across the organisation for key strategic vendor partnerships and market tenders. The incumbent will assist the Director of Workplace Technology in driving various aspects of workplace technology projects and manage them as a portfolio.
 

Your day in the life at Optus,
 

  • Develop and implement a lifecycle management strategy for all end-user technology platforms (hardware and software).
  • Establish and lead maintenance schedules for timely updates, repairs, and replacements.
  • Coordinate support resources to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.
  • Plan and complete technology refresh cycles to ensure alignment with Optus’ strategic goals.
  • Track KPIs to supervise end-user technology performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Run budgets for end-user technology lifecycle, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.


Your skills to pay the bills
 

  • Proven industry experience with a successful track record of managing an EUT portfolio, with hands-on Project and Program delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the strategic outcomes for large organisations, through all phases of EUT delivery lifecycle in a commercial environment, showcasing quantifiable results and ongoing improvements.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving skills with the ability to analyse a problem and come up with tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of design, implementation and management of end user technology platforms within organisation supporting a high volume of users.
  • You will be responsible for team members and their deliverables, by providing fit-for-purpose governance to support the portfolio delivery inclusive of adherence mechanisms to cater to organizational compliance obligations.
  • You're agile and adapt to a wide range of duties such as workforce planning, strategic planning, financial management, program management etc.
