We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager based in Sydney to join our team at Optus Enterprise. The primary focus of this role is to develop and win new business within the FSI Account segment, specifically targeting NSW accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with Account Directors to shape and execute account strategies, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and drive customer outcomes.
Your day in the life of a Business Development Manager at Optus
- Develop and win new business within designated large key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management (CEO, CIO, CFO).
- Achieve orders targets and maintain high sales activity levels to generate an effective opportunity pipeline.
- Build and exceed customer satisfaction (NPS) through strong customer relationships.
- Align strategy and sales plans with the account strategy set by the Account Director.
- Maintain accurate and complete CRM system records and provide timely reports to management.
Your skills to pay the bills
- Extensive experience in relationship/strategic selling, preferably in Telecommunications.
- Proven track record in handling key technical relationships and selling strategic business solutions.
- Strong planning, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organisational and political customer structures.
- Strong team-working skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM systems.
