Join Optus Enterprise in a high-impact, client-facing role focused on driving new business growth across large-scale enterprise and acquisition accounts. As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will proactively identify, target, and win new opportunities, building and executing account strategies to secure complex, high-value deals across Digital Core, Mobile, Fixed, Voice, and ICT solutions.
You will take ownership of the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and pipeline creation through to deal closure—bringing a strong hunter mindset to proactively identify, pursue, and convert new opportunities. Leveraging your network, market insight, and structured sales approaches such as opportunity planning and win labs, you will drive momentum across your pipeline.
Operating within a matrix environment, you will bring together cross-functional teams and partners to shape compelling solutions and progress strategic opportunities, while acting as the executive owner for major deals and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
Success in this role the ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders, uncover customer needs, and position tailored solutions that drive measurable business value. You’ll play a critical role in winning new logos, expanding Optus’ footprint, and building the next generation of strategic enterprise accounts while delivering significant new revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
- Win and execute strategic account plans to drive new business acquisition and achieve sales targets (TCV and mobile growth)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, across enterprise customers
- Lead complex, high-value sales pursuits end-to-end, from qualification through to deal closure
- Orchestrate and manage cross-functional virtual teams to deliver tailored customer solutions and win opportunities
- Maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and proactive opportunity management
- Leverage your existing executive network and actively cultivate new relationships through industry events, business chamber engagement, and peer forums to create and accelerate opportunities
What You Bring
- 10+ years experience leading and closing large, complex enterprise deals, with a strong track record in strategic and relationship-based selling
- Proven ability to develop and execute high-impact sales strategies, driving growth across key accounts and new markets
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value contracts and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the credibility and influence to engage senior executives and navigate complex organisations
- Advanced communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value and shape customer decisions
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong analytical capability and the agility to adapt in a fast-changing, competitive environment
