About the Role 

As a Chapter Lead, you’re a role model of Optus leadership fundamentals and demonstrate the attributes of a servant leader, valuing diverse opinions, cultivating trust and encouraging contribution of new ideas. You will strive to support Head of Data COE, Tribe Leadership and Coaches in delivering more value with ease, more frequently, with less surprises and more delight.


Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging and evolving the Agile@Optus Ways of Working while operating under complex and abstract situations
  • Play a key role in enabling Optus to achieve its vision and align the coaching strategy with Optus 3 year strategy and Tribes business outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership with a passion for agility and a coaching tool kit to support coaches and team of coaches to problem solve and look for opportunities to continually improve
  • Manage recruitment, development and the performance cycle for 16 talented Agile Coaches, proactively mentoring and putting in place practices that encourage mastery of domain skills.
  • Co-manage the Agile CoE standards and practices across 10 Tribes, 2 CoE and 3 Chapter Areas, working closely with organizational leaders, Tribe/CoE Leads and Chapter Area Leads to future proof chapter. 
  • Coach chapter and organizations on building a trust based safe environment for learning and experimentation        


About You

We are looking for the following, skills attributes and experience:

  • Significant experience in an Agile Coach Chapter Lead or a similar role in a fast-moving environment
  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments
  • Experience with large scale agile transformations with focus on business and technology working together in squads for organizational change and value delivery
  • Proficiency in the areas of leadership coaching to help embrace and influence change and communications in an agile transformation
  • Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority and not afraid to do what is best for the team
  • Passionate about challenging and growing the coaches in the chapter, developing capabilities and skills of the coaches, ensuring coaches have capability and career frameworks
