The Consultant, P&C SOCI Program supports the implementation and embedding of Optus’ Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) program, helping establish personnel compliance processes and ensuring alignment with the SOCI Act. The role works with stakeholders to support program delivery, governance, and compliance activities across the business.
As the program transitions into an operations and administration phase, the role will focus on maintaining accurate compliance records, coordinating monitoring and reporting activities, and supporting ongoing regulatory compliance. It plays a key part in ensuring personnel security obligations are met through effective administration, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Program Set-Up & Operationalising
- Support SOCI program rollout by assisting with implementation activities, including the identification of critical workers across employee and non-employee populations.
- Coordinate project and compliance processes through maintaining project plans, timelines, process documentation, and supporting overall program delivery.
- Manage critical workforce data by collecting, validating, and maintaining accurate worker and position information to support compliance requirements.
- Drive operational readiness and stakeholder engagement by developing procedures and training materials, supporting system testing , coordinating cross-functional meetings, and tracking implementation actions.
BAU Operations & Administration
- Manage day-to-day SOCI compliance activities, ensuring critical worker and position records remain accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate critical worker lifecycle processes, including onboarding, role changes, offboarding, and background screening requirements.
- Monitor compliance and reporting, preparing dashboards, audits, and escalating compliance risks or data issues as required.
- Provide stakeholder support and continuous improvement, managing enquiries, supporting audits, and enhancing SOCI administration processes.
WHAT MAKES YOU PERFECT FOR THE ROLE?
- Experience in HR administration, compliance, or operations within a large and complex organisation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive data accurately and confidentially.
- Proficiency in HR systems and reporting, including data management, auditing, and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and data governance requirements, with exposure to SOCI or regulatory frameworks is desirable.
