The Delivery Lead in the Optus Data Office is responsible for managing and successfully delivering data transformation and modernisation programs within the Optus IT Division. Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Delivery, the role focuses on delivering modern data platforms capabilities, products and services to meet customers experience outcomes by driving programs on time and on budget, even in sophisticated and evolving environments. Success in this role requires extensive experience in end-to-end program delivery, including technical, commercial, business change implementation, operational handovers, along with strong business partner management and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.

  • Lead and define Program requirements through accurately establishing customer expectations and analysing business interests.
  • Define, detail and document the scope and specifics of the Program.
  • Analyse tasks and develop an accurate schedule to fulfil Program results.
  • Identify, analyse and refine Program costs to produce a budget.
  • Monitor, review and report Program quality and results.
  • Identify and formulate a risk management plan for a Program and assure Program continuity.
  • Successfully manage business initiatives and senior business partner relationships.
  • Ensure customer experience parameters are driven to conclusion within programs.
  • Contribute to and work effectively within a sophisticated and matrix team environment.

 

It starts with you!

  • Professional qualification or equivalent in Business, IT, Engineering or other aligned fields, complimented in professional certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience managing capital programs within the IT/Telecommunications or Financial Services sectors, with formal training in Project Management.
  • Delivery using Agile/Iterative methodologies, with strong financial and business proficiencies.
  • Demonstrated success in directly leading large, sophisticated data programs.
  • Consistent experience in successfully supporting a delivery team in matrix reporting environment.
  • Proven track record in coaching, mentoring and developing team members; successfully supporting performance to achieve continuous improvement of team capabilities.
