As a Demand and Supply Planning Manager at Optus Administration Pty Ltd, you will lead efforts to optimize our supply chain operations. Based in lively Macquarie Park, you will develop our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. Your role ensures smooth coordination across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations departments.

 

What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of

  • Take on the role of S&OP process owner, encouraging steady improvement and alignment throughout all cycles including Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre S&OP, and Executive S&OP.
  • Leverage AI-enabled forecasting to improve demand planning accuracy and ensure commercially aligned outputs.
  • Facilitate critical trade-off discussions balancing growth, service, cost, and inventory.
  • Prepare and lead Executive S&OP meetings, providing clear, data-driven narratives for executive decision-making.
  • Integrate new product introductions, range changes, and end-of-life decisions into demand and S&OP plans, ensuring alignment on product roadmaps and launch readiness.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Finance, Commercial, and Operations, converting commercial and marketing plans into practical demand and supply strategies.
  • Promote ongoing improvement efforts and assist in integrating advanced analytics and AI into planning procedures.

  • Demonstrated expertise in demand and supply planning, with a solid grasp of S&OP/IBP processes.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret AI-generated forecasts and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading cross-functional discussions and influencing senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex trade-offs and drive alignment across different business functions.
  • Expertise in using scenario modelling and what-if analysis to assess supply and demand responses.
  • A collaborative approach, with a track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
