The EUT Service Manager is the primary engagement point to the business for the technology that we provide and maintain and is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of quality changes. The role is responsible for managing, approving, planning, coordinating, and monitoring hardware and software deployments. The EUT Service Manager builds and maintains a standards' catalog that lists all core end-user device platform standards and/or services provided by Desktop Engineering as well as managing and triaging non-standard requests.


The EUT Service Manager will triage demands in the EUT queue and review requirements from business stakeholders, to then work with the respective delivery teams to provide impact assessments and schedule delivery of these engagements.

 

Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • Leading the End User Technology team that provide 3rd level support, management and maintenance of the SOE desktop and Modern Workplace platforms.
  • Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities for improvement to the Modern Workplace environment.
  • Technology portfolio includes both hardware (desktop/mobile devices, and digital office equipment) and platforms (O365 and mobility solutions).
  • Review and document existing systems, processes, and standards. Maintain documentation as changes are made.
  • Assist to identify technologies which will improve customer satisfaction, reduce cost, or improve efficiency.
  • Release management – participate in the End User Technology Review Forum and maintain key internal systems and services.


Your skills to pay the bills
 

  • Proven experience in similar role/ Degree or Diploma qualified in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Very good knowledge of collaboration systems including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Yammer.
  • Strong documentation and reporting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal effective communication with management and peers, both within and outside the team.
  • Ability to conduct periodical assessment of the services and propose continuous service improvement initiatives and actively participate in completing the approved EUT Service Improvement Plan.
  • Can lead day-to-day operations and governance for workplace services provided by outsourced partners and software support vendors.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and support to outsourced partners and software vendors.
