The FRAT Team Leader will co-ordinate the response and remediation of fraud risk matters impacting Optus, along with promoting and identifying areas where there are gaps to mitigate fraud for our customers.

In this role you will manage a team and handle the delivery of various projects and initiatives in support of the fraud risk and Group Credit Risk business plan and will work with the Fraud Manager to craft proactive programs and processes that deliver reductions in the incidence and magnitude of fraud risk.


Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • Lead a team of Fraud Risk Analysts to handle fraud operations key tasks.
  • Be the key POC for any critical issue into the team related to fraud risk assessment.
  • Provide each team member with clear objectives for personal performance, supported by regular and constructive feedback.
  • Provide ongoing advice and support, mentoring and training for team members with a view to all individuals achieving role proficiency.
  • Working with the FRAT team to increase fraud detection rates and ensure quality is maintained.
  • Manipulate large data sets and develop reporting based on requirements that report on fraud trends.


Your skills to pay the bills,
 

  • Leadership experience, preferably in credit risk / compliance or Fraud risk management or related management fields.
  • High level analytical skills including considerable experience in sophisticated MS Excel including data matching, pivot tables and macro development.
  • Proven experience and ability to apply risk methodologies, with an emphasis on fraud risk assessments, in a corporate environment.
  • Proven innovative problem-solving skills, critical analysis of sophisticated issues, and formulation of business solutions.
