Cloud Security Specialist

Job Summary

The position will be responsible for performing and coordinating staff responsible for, operating and maintaining the Optus:

  • Developing Cloud Security design frameworks
  • Embedding the best security practices for multi cloud environment
  • Performing the security risks assessments of IaaS (e.g., Azure, Google, Amazon), PaaS (RDS, Google AI) and SaaS environments (Office 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow etc)
  • Drive the Cyber Security strategy compliance

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assess, document and communicate Cloud security risks in context with business operations.
  • Adherence to the vulnerability management standards and processes to meet requirements and SLAs.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of relevant Information Security policies, standards, and operating procedures as the need arises to protect the Cloud workloads
  • Implement and maintain metrics to ensure that the performance and compliance to Optus security requirements are measured and reporting requirements are met.
  • As required, review/provide inputs to Cloud solution designs and ensure that they meet the relevant Optus security requirements.
  • Identify and communicate security non-compliances and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (or compensating experience).
  • CISSP, CCSP accreditation
  • 2+ years of experience with Cybersecurity vulnerability assessments
  • 2+ years of experience with ethical hacking, including information security, application vulnerability testing, code–level security auditing, and secure code reviews
  • 2+ years of direct experience with at least one Public Cloud (AWS or GCP or Azure)
