The Media & Marketing Operations team is the cog in delivering the Optus Marketing Strategy and investment. Responsible for the dissemination of the A&P budget, management of these funds, the vendors associated with these funds and the reconciliation of these funds. Additionally, the Media & Marketing Operations team needs to be industry-leading in building efficiencies, optimising process, and maximising ROI across the entire A&P budget.

This role requires strong commercial acumen alongside an inquisitive mind, a passion for analytics and market trends and the ability to deal with a significant level of complexity and granularity.

 

Your day to day will consist of...

  • Budget Management: Support the management of the total Marketing budget including tracking spend, management of POs and monitoring of aged debt.
  • Agency and Vendor Relationship Management: Support the governance and performance of marketing vendors and partners. Manage agency processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Procurement and Contractual Management: Track and manage contracts, ensure compliance with obligations, and coordinate stakeholder discussions for renewals and updates.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Consultation and sharing of best practice Marketing Operations across multiple Optus business units, along with supporting the end-to-end briefing process across Marketing.
  • Platform Management: Assist with MRM system, SAP and other associated programmes.

What makes you a great fit for the role?

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Business, Commercial or Marketing.
  • Experience in a Marketing Operations role or Agency is preferred.
  • Analytical person with an interest in working within operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and marketing knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation and governance skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
  • Ability to manage time across complex projects running in parallel.
  • Attention to detail and ability to forge collaborative relationships both within and outside the team and influence desired outcomes.
