Location: Macquarie Park, Australia

Company: Singtel Group

Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.

Join our Prepaid team as the operational backbone that keeps one of Optus’ most complex, high‑volume product portfolios running safely, smoothly, and compliantly. As the Prepaid Product Operations Manager, you’ll own the operational stability, readiness, compliance, and resilience of our entire Prepaid ecosystem—ensuring every customer activation, recharge, voucher, payment, and system interaction works exactly as it should.

This is a high‑visibility role where you’ll partner across Product, Technology, Cyber, Digital, Customer Care, Finance, Legal, Regulatory and external vendors to mitigate operational risk, manage incidents, land product changes safely, and maintain full compliance with mandatory and regulatory obligations.

What You’ll Do

  • Safeguard the operational integrity and stability of the Prepaid product—systems, processes, journeys, and provisioning flows.
  • Lead incident triage, root‑cause analysis, escalation and cross‑functional issue resolution.
  • Ensure operational readiness for all product changes, new features, offers and system releases, landing Prepaid launches accurately and safely.
  • Validate operational feasibility of product requirements and manage impacts across IT, Digital, Cyber, Ops and vendors.
  • Support and deliver key programs such as Donate Your Data, VMS, Enterprise Payments and plan simplification.
  • Lead execution of all mandatory obligations, TCP compliance, customer communications, financial controls, legal updates and audit requirements.
  • Identify operational risks, implement preventative controls and uplift resilience end‑to‑end.
  • Own the full Voucher Provisioning System—stability, availability, vendor management, financial reporting, stock levels, SLAs and BCP.

What makes you perfect

  • 5+ years in telecom product operations, service operations, IT delivery or platform operations.
  • Strong understanding of prepaid lifecycle systems (activation, recharge, provisioning, billing/charging, voucher systems).
  • Experience managing incidents, outages or critical operational events.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across IT, Cyber, Legal, Ops and external vendors.
  • Strong triage, problem‑solving and structured operational decision‑making.
  • High attention to detail with strong governance and compliance discipline.
