As a Subscription Product Manager at Optus Sport, you'll be the driving force behind Optus Sport’s subscription success to attract, retain, and win back customers. You’ll leverage customer data insights, customer feedback, seasonal moments and emerging football fan behaviours to develop and execute compelling subscription propositions that will grow revenue across the subscription products.
 

You will collaborate with teams across Optus Sport and Optus to drive subscription revenue for Optus Sport subscriptions via direct-to-consumer, and via Optus SubHub, and ultimately drive long lasting customer relationships with Optus.
 

Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • Become the subscription guru: Craft data-driven offers and initiatives to maximize revenue, acquisition and user retention for Optus Sport subscriptions by creating and communicating commercial models, collaborating with Product, Marketing and GTM to build and launch offers
  • Lead the charge: Develop a clear annual roadmap for subscription initiatives, maximizing seasonal moments and key customer lifecycle milestone journeys. Digest weekly Trading reports and derive actions to keep the base on our growth trajectory
  • Model the commercials: With experience in the numbers, build out commercial models for the initiatives this role plans to take to market. Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to ensure solid value and ROI towards the consumer revenue goals
  • Champion collaboration: Foster seamless workflows within Optus Sport’s Marketing, Insights, Product and Tech teams, and build strong partnerships with wider Optus teams across Mobile and Home products, Retail, SubHub and Customer Success teams. Own the process with Finance, Legal and Go-to-Market teams to coordinate initiatives to launch. Create clear briefs to ensure everyone's on the same page.
  • Digest the data: Analyse customer data and emerging trends across our insights stack, subscription platform, and customer engagement platforms to maximise opportunities towards revenue growth

 

Your skills to pay the bills

 

  • An extensive and storied career in managing subscription performance in media or e-commerce enterprises
  • Your product management and commercial skills in working with numbers to develop high ROI initiatives and expertly execute them through to launch
  • Excellent communication skills in walking stakeholders and cross-functional teams through strategic ideation through to tangible outcomes
  • Proven experience leading customer growth with proven ability to lead and leverage resources towards a common goal
  • Assertiveness and the ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced understanding of current e-commerce and subscription trends
