Join Optus as a Security Architect, where you’ll design secure, compliant solutions for Government customers and maintain architectural integrity across complex environments. This senior role involves developing security frameworks, advising on risk management, and ensuring compliance with ISM and PSPF standards. Your day-to-day will consist of

Review ICT solution proposals, provide guidance and assistance to ensure security architecture principles are incorporated, appropriate, and meet ISM requirements.

Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders, providing guidance and advice to achieve security outcomes.

Conduct security risk assessments relating to IT solution designs and proposed solutions.

Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to the IT environment, providing appropriate treatments to reduce risks in line with government regulations and industry standard processes.

Ensure best practice security architectural methodology is continually being developed, refined, and implemented.

Develop and maintain architecture patterns, templates, and processes to standardise related artifacts, review and approval processes within the broader security framework.

Support, security Certification, Accreditation, and ensure critical deliverables are delivered to the required standard.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to ensure a coordinated approach to security.
What makes you perfect for the role?

Australian citizen as the role requires clearance with AGSVA baseline, with a view of attaining and NV1
-
TOGAF and/or SABSA qualifications highly regarded

Degree or equivalent experience qualified specialising in Cyber Security / Information Security disciplines

Extensive experience working as a Cyber Security Architect

Prior experience within a federal government or large complex organisation highly regarded
