This leadership role is responsible for the Billing & Credit management & optimisation function including accountability for credit & fraud risk strategy, driving optimised processes and strategy development for all of Billing & credit. Billing & credit manage Billing , credit, collections and payments across the Optus enterprise.

The Senior Director of Billing Credit Management & Optimisation is accountable for the key roadmap for Billing, Collections & credit and management of the support functions of the wider team. Setting the strategy to optimise & simplify  outcomes across Fraud, Identity, Credit, Collections and Billing. Aligning them with the business and key business partners, then delivering the transformation required across the business unit. This opportunity is Sydney based out of our Macquarie Park Campus and is a permanent role.

 

Your day in the life as a Senior Director at Optus

  • Design proactive programs and processes that deliver reductions in the incidence and magnitude of credit, Identity and fraud risk. These will include, but not be limited to, methodologies and processes to prevent and detect fraud, a framework for the risk assessments of products, services and processes, fraud risk awareness programs and the dissemination of actionable intelligence. Ownership of the Credit, ID & fraud policy is also a key accountability.
  • Represent Billing & Credit on Credit, Billing and Fraud management matters for Optus both internally and externally with relevant business units.
  • Deliver successful data strategy for Billing & Credit that aligns to Optus’s overall data strategy, that involves full migration onto the enterprise data platform that supports single source of truth reporting and analysis.
  • Management of the Risk & compliance, Credit & fraud decisioning , fraud prevention, Credit systems  and optimisation functions
  • Management of resources across all B&C projects with the wider business – including larger business model change programs and programs to improve processes for our customers, .

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • A wealth of leadership and industry experience in credit risk / compliance, billing and fraud risk management or related management fields.
  • Credit and fraud systems experience complimented by the ability to communicate sophisticated technical and accounting issues at various levels.
  • Strong practical experience in the application and commercial utilisation of data science along with validated transformation and process improvement experience.
  • An executive level leader with large scale billing and operations management, on shore and offshore experience and a passion for creating change.
