Join Optus Enterprise as a Network Engineer within our GTAC Networks team, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality managed network services for enterprise customers across Australia. You’ll be responsible for resolving complex network incidents, implementing and managing changes, and supporting enterprise, data centre, and wireless environments using technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Riverbed.
This role suits an experienced engineer who thrives in an operational ITIL-based environment, enjoys problem-solving at scale, and is passionate about customer outcomes, automation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across enterprise, data centre, and wireless environments, ensuring SLAs are met.

Implement and manage network changes, upgrades, and patching in line with ITIL change and problem management processes.

Configure, support, and maintain network infrastructure using technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Riverbed.

Collaborate with customers, service management, and internal delivery teams, providing clear communication and technical guidance.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, scripting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
What makes you perfect for the role?

Strong hands-on experience supporting and operating complex enterprise networks, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve high‑impact incidents.

Technical capability across routing, switching, data centre, and wireless technologies, ideally including Cisco, Aruba, and Riverbed.

Proven experience working in an ITIL-driven managed services environment, with end‑to‑end ownership of incidents, problems, and changes.

Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage customers and stakeholders during critical or high‑pressure situations.

A continuous improvement mindset, demonstrated through automation, scripting, strong documentation, and staying current with emerging network technologies.
