Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it's easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.

Right now, Optus is passionate about getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers. It's not about surface-level change. It's about how we make decisions, how we work together, and how we deliver.

The Senior Manager, GTM and Planning is responsible for turning GTM and segment strategies into integrated, actionable plans, ensuring Enterprise-focused initiatives are aligned across sales, marketing, product, and partner teams to drive measurable business and customer outcomes. The role also leads cross-functional governance, performance management, and ROI tracking, acting as the central coordinator to enhance GTM effectiveness, consistency, and scalability across the business.

Your day to day will consist of

  • Define and lead the Enterprise GTM roadmap, aligning priorities, investments, and growth opportunities with overall business objectives and annual planning.
  • Design, prioritise, and execute GTM initiatives that drive sales growth, customer outcomes, and strategic business impact.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across sales, marketing, product, partners, and business units to ensure successful execution of GTM programs.
  • Oversee governance of GTM launches, including milestone tracking, risk management, decision-making, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Establish and manage GTM governance, performance metrics, and ROI tracking to measure revenue impact, pipeline growth, and overall effectiveness.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and continuous improvement, acting as the Enterprise segment champion to ensure all GTM activities are integrated, customer-focused, and aligned to strategy.

What makes you perfect for the role

  • 10-15+ years of professional experience, ideally within telecommunications, supported by tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, product management, strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into practical, solution-focused GTM strategies.
  • Deep expertise in go-to-market planning, marketing, communications, or product management, with the ability to balance strategic objectives and operational execution.
  • Proven experience influencing and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, address challenges, and develop effective GTM responses.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change and operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities, combined with a strong focus on continuous improvement and performance optimisation.
