Your role...


Responsible for performing audits of financial and operational functions to ensure that Optus’ control environment and internal controls are adequate and appropriate to manage the risks that face the business. You will also be responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of audits, including liaison with senior management of Optus and Singtel on audit results!


To be successful in the role you will need to have -


  • Extensive experience in a similar function to date within the Telco industry;
  • Advanced customer management expertise at all levels of business;
  • Understanding Telco products and services and the supporting business processes and systems;
  • Experience reviewing business processes and ascertaining the adequacy of internal controls, process efficiency and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies;
  • Strengths in identifying weaknesses in business process and internal controls and recommend practical and value added solutions to management to improve operations, reduce costs and minimise risks;
  • Proven execution of audit work using the established IA methodology;
  • Able to prepare robust audit reports, ensuring that findings are agreed with management before release;
  • Some involvement in fraud investigations / matters and assessment of control remediation activities arising from these investigations;
  • Promoting the IA Group to the wider business.
