Your day to day will consist of...

The Senior Network Engineer – Mobile Regional Transmission Planning, is accountable for the planning and capacity management of Optus’ Regional Transmission Access Network to support business needs. Whilst this role is predominantly responsible for managing the Microwave network, it will also require managing other transport mediums such as Fibre and Leased Lines.

This position is responsible for planning, forecasting, capacity management and the initiation of builds/upgrades to support regional Mobile and Enterprise growth.

 

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering
  • Extensive experience working in Telecommunications, ideally in a Desing or Planning role
  • Sound engineering knowledge across a broad range of telecommunications technologies, especially Microwave Transmission.
  • Previous experience in Microwave Link Design and ACMA licensing
