Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

Optus is searching for a seasoned Senior Route/Switch/Wi-Fi Project Engineer who will provide comprehensive design, solution build/ implementation, scoping and technical support to the sales team as well as assisting and complementing the mid to junior level engineers in a mentoring as well as technical capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake system analysis, technical design, implementation and transition to management of solutions applied to customer infrastructure incorporating technologies such as network, security, and wireless solutions as applicable to the role
• Liaise closely with the Pre-Sales Solution Architects to ensure correct scoping and service pricing of solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Quality and Project Management Systems, Key Business Processes.
• Work with implementation teams and the customer, providing network design and implementation support to ensure smooth and effective migration to new technology/versions.
• Design/implement testing methodologies and manage the outcome of the testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Currently working as a Senior Project Engineer with 7- 10 x years’ experience
• Hold’s a current Cisco CCNP/CCIE Route Switch (Written)  certification
• Extensive technical experience in design, installation and support of medium and large networking solutions.
• Has Designed and Delivered a cross section of the below product suites.

  • Fortinet SDWAN
  • Cisco Wi-Fi solution
  • Cisco SDA solution
