As a Senior Network Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal pre-sales role partnering with enterprise customers, sales teams, and technical specialists to design innovative networking and security solutions. Leveraging deep technical expertise and strong commercial acumen, you will lead customer engagements, workshops, and solution development activities that drive revenue growth, enhance customer outcomes, and position Optus as a trusted technology partner. This role combines technical leadership, solution design, stakeholder management, and strategic consulting to deliver complex network and security solutions across major enterprise customers.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop enterprise network and security solutions that align with customer business objectives, technical requirements, and commercial outcomes.
- Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, and discovery sessions to uncover requirements and translate them into compelling solution designs.
- Partner with sales teams to shape opportunities, develop customer value propositions, and contribute to winning account strategies and business cases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and technology partners to ensure seamless solution design, governance, and handover for implementation.
- Maintain deep expertise in networking, network security, and emerging technologies while providing technical guidance and enablement across the broader business.
- Contribute to innovation by identifying new solution opportunities, supporting product development initiatives, and creating tools, templates, and best practices that improve team productivity.
- Develop training material and content around secure networking. Enable and training general presales, and provide SME support.
What You Bring
- Extensive experience in network solution architecture, technical design, or pre-sales consulting within telecommunications, managed services, or enterprise ICT environments.
- Deep expertise across enterprise networking and network security technologies, supported by industry certifications such as Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Zscaler, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Strong customer-facing consulting skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading technical workshops, developing solution architectures, and translating complex customer requirements into commercially viable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to create solution overviews, business cases, and executive-level presentations.
- A collaborative and strategic mindset with experience navigating matrix organisations, managing competing priorities, and supporting complex sales engagements from opportunity to delivery.
