The purpose of this role is to be the platform owner and planner for the Optus Networks Clouds, the cloud will be based on NETWORKS CLOUD (Networks Function Virtualized Infrastructure), Containers (ECCD, TKG, OpenShift), ESXi, VIO (VMware Integrated OpenStack), and AWS.  All these will be the foundation for all the future Optus Networks Core Growth.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the lifecycle management, capacity planning, and performance optimization of Optus Networks Clouds.
  • Lead the on-boarding, deployment, and assurance processes for Networks Cloud.
  • Provide expert advice and technical innovations to significantly improve operating practices and solve complex technical challenges efficiently.
  • Coordinate Annual Operating Plans (AOP) inputs for the Networks Cloud.
  • Take charge of and coordinate initiatives related to the Networks Cloud.

 

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Demonstrable experience with cloud technologies such as Networks Function Virtualized Infrastructure, Containers, ESXi, VIO, and AWS.
  • Experience collaborating with internal groups and external suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to interpret system alarms and prioritize faults across cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong collaborator engagement and communication skills.
